Listen with your fingers. Breathe with your feet. Know with the trees and mountains.

Jagadānanda mark jagadānanda

The online presence of Jagadānanda. See the world through his eyes, and learn from his teachings.

Haere mai, namaste and welcome. This is a place to rest for a while. Be with the energy. Allow the thoughts to resonate within you and find their place. Settle, slow. The tides of the universe expand and contract, just like the movements within you. Observe, open. The body wakes up and comes into resonance, the mind clears. Being, belonging. You’re already home.

Jagadānanda
About

I'm Jagadānanda, also known as Jack.

I share what comes to me and what I realise, in reflections, essays, and teachings on non-dual awareness, the body, ecological consciousness, and conscious living. They will land for some and not for others. Teaching fixed ideas of reality does not encourage embodied exploration, so I leave it up to you to find your answers here.

This isn't only knowledge that I studied. It's an intuitive perception I was born with, and have spent my life learning to trust rather than override.

I grew up in Aotearoa, enclosed by the Eastern and Western Hills of Te Awa Kairangi. I’ve always had a eurythmic relation with nature: navigating with, around and in my living environment.

Everything I share here comes from that closeness, and from the years this path has been living itself through me, in meditation, in the garden, in the study of consciousness, and in the company of others walking their own way home.

From time to time, someone reading here feels the resonance. If you want to sit together, let’s. Write to me and we’ll set up a time.

More about me
Two-eyed seeing

One vision, four perspectives

Slowly, the sense of separation dissolves. The Self, the body, and the living world, are One. The trees breathe in the words I speak. I absorb the stories of the stones. And so it is: So Ham सोऽहम्.

See the world through multiple lenses at once. Each a conceptual framework to understand parts of the whole. Each a doorway to the same grounded reality.

Meditation

Non-dual realisation

In stillness, the one who watches and the thing being watched turn out to be the same. Meditation, as I share it, is the slow undoing of that imagined divide, until awareness recognises itself in everything it touches. You become nothing, everything, and you: all at once.

The living body

Health, movement arts, and embodiment

The body is the temple through which consciousness carries out its experience on Earth. Embodiment is about living in this body, aware of its functions, movements, and experiences. The body is honoured and understood through ayurveda, dance, intuitive cooking, and more.

The Earth

Ecological consciousness

We are nature. The being of forest, river, and root exists with our bodies, because the thread between the Earth and our human being has never been cut: Even if we've temporarily forgotten. Ecological consciousness begins with realising this, feeling it, and then living with it.

Livelihood

Conscious entrepreneurship

Work and projects flow from the same inspired source. When our livelihood grows from our gifts, it feeds the world the way a tūī feeds on the flower and carries its pollen onward. Exchange without extraction, learning without appropriation, and material flow through conscious action.

Intimate Reflections

Contemplations that arrive along the way.

Sometimes they jolt, other times they soothe. Intimate reflections on what it means to live.

Essays

Essays on the non-dual spiritual path and the teachings of yogic philosophy, the relation between humans and nature, and ecological knowing, grounded in lived experience to complement the theory.

Understanding and knowledge, both spiritual and intellectual, woven in my own baskets of knowledge.

Available, by resonance

I bring a way of thinking, and a deep perceptive ability, into ecosystems beyond my own: a board, a project, a life meeting a hard decision. When what I carry resonates with what you're building, I'm glad to be invited in.

This might look like sitting down and discussing perspectives on a problem you're facing, bringing a permaculture lens to a team or organisational problem, or doing a deep analysis of a situation.

I honour my time, and give it to projects that honour the gifts I bring. In that relating, value moves both ways: rather than a fixed rate, I ask for a financial gift in return for the time we share.

Letters

From time to time, I write to you

A reflection, word of a gathering, something worth passing on. These letters arrive when they're ready.
